tl;dr So long and thanks for all the fish.

While I enjoyed the facilities as a scout I was disappointed to learn the Boy Scout Troop where I earned my Eagle Scout rank would need to find a new home. The "leadership" of KBC cut their support of the Boy Scouts by no longer letting the troop use rooms on Tuesday nights which would otherwise sit empty.

All of that can also be read: THIS CHURCH HATES GAYS.

Even though we did not have any gay members in our troop KBC still decided that after 20 years of a great partnership they wouldn't support the scouts any longer. The announcement came just days following the BSA decision to allow gay dads to participate in scouting with their sons. IRONIC? I think not...

The troop would regularly clean the kitchen after our dinners, setup the gym for their Sunday mass services, and maintained the outside grounds picking up sticks and garbage. In addition many Eagle Scout service projects happened at the church to put in the trail around the pond and redo landscaping at the entrances among other things. We even started paying the church to use their space for Eagle Scout ceremonies because even though we took pictures and put everything back the exact way we found it... it wasn't good enough. I think this speaks to the kind of people you'll be associating with if you go here...

  • I grew up attending Kenosha Bible Church, and I love my church! In my 30 years here I have seen such growth in KBC, from growing to the point that we needed to build the beautiful addition you see today, the planting of our sister church Westosha Lakes Church, and still continuing to grow more causing the addition of our more contemporary/casual video cafe service. This is a wonderful church to call home, and there are so many different opportunities available to get involved and really help you to feel apart of the church family!

  • Family worship all ages. Friendly, not bashful to preach the Word of God, without watering it down, or picking & choosing what you want to believe.

  • Been attending since July 2016. We came from a solid EFCA church in Texas, and KBC has been like a new home to us. We came on right as Pastor Bill took the reins and he has been a shining example of a senior pastor He has the persona of a great leader and experience to back it up.
The youth group has a great leader with Pastor Ryan, my wife and I do not have kids yet, so I have no feedback on the children's ministry.
No church is perfect, but my wife and I are happy to call KBC our church home. The greeters were very friendly our first day, and every 6 months they have an opportunity to meet the pastoral staff over pizza (pizza with the pastors as they call it) which I found very helpful is learning about the direction and priorities of the church. They put every opportunity in front of you to get connected, which I appreciated as a new person.
